I must say, this is my best work to date on an external. This thing is packed with features and really is both a time saver and a convenience in organization of your files. Also, it helps to eliminate LAME descriptions of files and the lack of version numbers with files.
What does this external do? Well, it automates the entering of the ONE LINE description when uploading a file. It asks the user for a FULL filename, version number, category, and also any additional comments if there is 10 or more characters left in the one line description. It they organizes the information and creates the one line description. It will then display the one line description and asks if the information is correct. It then proceeds as normal and ask the user if he wants an extended description.
The external is fully configurable from the externals menu and is a MUST before you use this external. You can configure any directory to be used with this external and also change up to 30 categories to describe the file. To see how this external works, just turn it on for one of your directories and then try and upload a file. You will be able to understand how the external works from going through the process of an upload. If you are doing this locally, you will not be able to complete the process since you can't upload locally from the CLI.
NOTE: This is my first external that I am asking EVERYONE to register. Why? Well, no one has registered any of my other externals and I have written a good number of them so far over the last 3 months or so.
Here are the latest versions of my other externals:
1) Information Additions 1.3.1 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1
2) Information Additions 1.4.4 -> For Hermes II 1.0.2d1
3) Hermes Beeper 1.2 -> For Hermes II 1.0.2d1
4) Logon Monitor 1.1a -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1
5) BBS Down 1.1a -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2dx
6) Shareware Monitor 1.0 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1
7) Shareware Monitor 1.1a -> For Hermes II 1.0.2dx
Coming soon...
Since I am quite unsure when Hermes II v2.0 is coming out, I decided to rewrite my externals that didn't require much modification to have similiar versions compiled for both Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1.
1) Hermes Beeper 1.3 -> For Hermes II 1.0.2d1
2) Shareware Monitor 1.2 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1
3) Logon Monitor 1.2 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1
4) BBS Down! 1.2 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1
5) Information Additions 1.5 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1
6) Description Manager 1.1 -> For Hermes II 1.0.1 or 1.0.2d1

For more information, contact me on the Hermes Support board as User #301, Charles Amet. This is my uncle, but he will relay the message to me.
Note, I do not guarantee that this software is bug free. Use this external at your own risk. My only hope is that it is useful to you.
If you have suggestions and or ideas for this or another external, please let me know. I can program; however, coming up with ideas is another story. Most of my ideas and/or suggestions are being placed into Hermes II v2.0.
Here are some suggestions that I have…
1) Mail by classification
2) Mail by restriction
3) Sysop Hours which can be set for individual days of the week along with individual
time slots per day.
Thanks to Keith and Karl Klein, Charles Amet, Michael Isreali, Michael Capriotti, Lloyd Woodall, Robert Rebbun, and Sam Shafritz. Excuse any names being mispelled, just email me if they are. Thanks again!

Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your donation and I will send you your registration code within 5 working days of my receipt of your donation. You may also include your email address or your Hermes support board User # and I will be glad to email you the registration code.
If you use this more than 5 days, then you are obligated to send in the SHAREWARE fee. I would appreciate it if you did since I am a college student in graduate school trying to get my masters degree. Right at the moment, I am broke and my refrigerator is looking quite bare from those late night programming sessions. So, please support shareware.
